July 24 This is how my week shas been...mostly the very end of the video...LOL...that is all I can do.
July 21 17 more work days and then it is off to Estes Park, CO for a family reunion of sorts and a break from work. My parents 50th wedding anniversary is in October, but we decided to celebrate the end of summer in the Rocky Mountains. I am looking forward to time away from work. I love my job, but I am not loving all the false promises, of what is to come, tomorrow, next day, maybe a month or a year from now. It makes it hard to work and focus when you dissatisfied. I just think they have worked in this cycle for so long that they know nothing else. "Good things come to those who wait." EDITED OUT ALL that I was complaining about last night Like I said laughing inside is the only way I seem to be getting through the issue. July 20 Weekend update Well, the move was NOT...my daughter and I went and ran an errand and then were to go to the place she is currently living and move the remaining "stuff." well we got there and she did not have her key, 95 degrees and I was HOT all the way around. Her key was at home in her room at home and no roommates were around. So at that point I decided, I was done and not moving anything else. I drove her back to the house, told her I was done and she had to fend for herself. Amazingly she called a few hours later and said she got it all. Hmmmmmmm...good thing. I fortunately got away with only one load the night before, her friends that are boys, moved her furniture and I am going to make sure "the boyfriend" will help her move in August 10th. He is currently in Bosnia volunteering at a youth camp for 3 weeks. She has recently rekindled her relationship with her high school sweetheart, after 4 years. It was just a matter of time, everyone expected them to get back together. Now they will have to make it work, as he is working in Shanghai, for FedEx the next two years and she has one year left at KU. Then if they make it through that she may head over to China for a year or so. Tough as it will be she should take the opportunity, as those chances do not come along often. I am going to put up an album of them. Amanda and Zach. Tomorrow is Monday, I am dreading it, as at this moment I am disgruntled with work. But, after reading Randy Pausch and Jeffrey Zaslow book The Last Lecture I am trying to be more receptive to things I cannot change and work on the things I can change. Complaining is useless, as it helps no one, especially me, so I will put on my "positive attitude" and gracefully as possible get through the day, without losing my cool, which is not to easy to do, as it is 100+ with the heat index. The book is a pleasure to read and reminded me of all the things I already know, but forget to practice on a daily basis. Peace and Blessings July 19 Let's call this week over... I am there. Done, it was long, aggravating, annoying, and a real pain in the ass. I am ready to move on to next moment, next week, and next whatever comes my way and let me say, I am going to have to make some rash decisions in the next few weeks to change my life a bit or maybe a lot. The winds of change are a blowing and I can feel the breeze starting...now I just have to get my sail in the right direction :o)...with a little bit of hope and positive karma, maybe things will change for the better. It is annual move in/move out time of year in our university town. Leases go from August 1st to July 31st. So that means, it is moving time for our daughter. She has to move everything from her current place, that she was renting with two other girls, into our garage and then on August 10th to her new studio. It is 95◦- 99◦ degrees the next two days and I am moving crap. I HATE SUMMER. It is way hot and I get way cranky, as does Amanda, so between us both there is quite a bit of heat anger built up by the time we are done. Today, is the balance of her closet, her bath and the kitchen supplies. Will I be glad to be done. Other than that, I am holding my own and cannot ask for more than that. Happy weekend. July 15 Hormone Free Zone BEWARE THIS IS A IRRATIONAL RANT...for sure. Read at your own risk. I am in a prescription hormone free zone for two plus more weeks, we have ALL survived about 2.5 weeks. Everyone is concerned for my husband, Michael, and daughter, Amanda's welfare. HELL, what about me? I do have some close friends who I warned that I might be a bit unbearable over the next 4 weeks, as they want to get some blood levels to see where I am in this lovely "female" cycle of life. To the ladies I work with, I commend you for sticking with me and being so kind and considerate. Also my close friend HG. Do not get me wrong, I love being a woman, but I am sick to death of this hormone balance issue. I have tried herbs, ALL of them at one time or another. I am ready to move to the next level, I was never able to have more children, one miscarriage and possibly because my ex-husband could have had a vasectomy without me knowing, I now at almost 49 realize that he lied and manipulated me to no end. I always I believed I was the sick one, but time has made me realize that was not true. I am not saying that I do not have issues, but one day I will write about the before Michael life. I appreciate my husband more and more everyday. Oh well, onward, back to the subject at hand. I have two plus more weeks to go, without hormones that is. Please know that my husband and daughter are fine and will survive, as will I. I just am not the nicest person right now. I have also written an extreme rant in response to a religious email FORWARD I received. I will cut and paste that in next and you will have been ranted at more than you probably like, but I feel a bit better for it. The email forward is in green and my reply to the forward is in blue: ------------------------------------------------------- Removal of Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyer and other pastors from the airwaves. An organization has been granted a Federal Hearing on the same subject by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in Washington , D.C. Their petition, Number 2493, would ultimately pave the way to stop the reading of the gospel of our Lord and Savior, on the airwaves of America . They got 287,000 signatures to back their stand! If this attempt is successful, all Sunday worship services being broadcast on the radio or by television will be stopped. This group is also campaigning to remove all Christmas programs and Christmas carols from public schools! You as a Christian can help! We are praying for at least 1 million signatures. This would defeat their effort and show that there are many Christians alive, well and concerned about our country. ;As Christians, we must unite on this. P lease don't take this lightly. We ignored one lady once and lost prayer in our schools and in offices across the nation. Please stand up for your religious freedom and let your voice be heard. Together we can make a difference in our country while creating an opportunity for the lost to know the Lord. Please, if you don't wish to participate, return this email to whoever sent it to you so they can at least keep this email going or forward it to someone you know who will wish to participate. Dr. Dobson is going on CNBC to urge every Christian to get involved. I hope you will sign and forward to all your family and friends. Please press forward, CLEAN UP THE MESSAGE, and forward this to everyone you think should read this. Now, please sign your name at the bottom (you can only add your name after you have pressed 'Forward' or you have cut and pasted the text). Don't delete any other names, just go to the next number and type your name. Please do not sign jointly, such as Mr. & Mrs., each person should sign his/her own name. Please defeat this organization and keep the right of our freedom of religion. When you get to 1000 please e-mail back to: How about praying for some good in the world, a bit of PEACE in
this scary world. Pray that we can help people without food, who are seriously
ill and cannot afford health care. Help people who are suffering extreme losses
of life and families who have lost loved ones and the lives they lived as they
know it in all of our natural disaster. There are MANY things in your own
backyard, if you would just open your eyes, and look and listen. Isn't that
what Christian is being about, "love thy neighbor." Not one of us is better than
the next...though many of us think we are. How about focusing all this NEGATIVE
ENERGY on something worth the while and "do unto others as you would have them
do unto you?"
Peace and Blessings, Sabine
